Welcome to the Online Home of Lillie's Classic Quilts!

We are the PREMIER quilter's boutique in the Mid-West, offering complete lines of new and vintage fabrics, such as: Moda, Moda Home, Freespirit, Lakehouse, Maywood, and the exquisite Japanese import, Yuwa. Complimentary bedding and accessories are also available.

Lillie's Classic Quilts was established in 2001 by interior designer and avid quilter, Debbie Viets. Named for her maternal grandmother, who died in her early 30s, Lillie's mission statement is about "embracing the preciousness of life and taking time for our passions."

Passion for quilts is what you will discover in the cozy, elegant atmosphere of Lillie's Classic Quilts, located in a historic 1890s building in downtown Independence, Kansas.

Lillie's Classic Quilts is a quilter's dream shop, specializing in warm, rich, complimentary colors. Find the perfect gift in a large selection of unique jewelry and assorted accessories and home decor.

We also offer classes on basic quilting, hand and machine appliqué, and quilting for beginners. Call for more information and a class schedule.

 KC STAR QUILTS

2009 Block of the Month Quilt

"Women of Influence"

Designed by Sarah Maxwell, the quilt commemorates the 90th anniversary of women securing the right to vote in America.  The project runs from January through December 2009, with each block highlighting one of twelve women who influenced the history of women's rights.

Featuring reproduction fabric collections by Marcus Fabrics.

Kit $16.00 per month  Pattern $8.00 per month

 Star Light, Star Bright

Each month, piece a 12" and 9" block, plus a 6" border block.  Finish with a Scrap Bag applique design.  Add outer borders and binding to complete into an 80" x 98" quilt.

We will be using "Wildflower Serenade II" by Kansas Troubles for Moda.

You can do this as a
